As a member of the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA), Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp.(PSMC) is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities through implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on Greenhouse Gas Reduction between the Executive Association and the Environmental Protection Agency of the Executive Yuan. PSMC is committed to implementing FC's emission reduction plans. The company-wide process FCs reduction performance in 2020 is 260,312 ton CO2e.

In order to achieve the reduction target, PSMC has established a Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Reduction Management Team comprised of relevant department management personnel involved in the operation of equipment or facilities related to greenhouse gas production or emission, process production, and human operation activities. The management collects information related to greenhouse gases on a regular basis. In addition, it conducts greenhouse gas emission inventory verifications according to ISO14064-1, which includes process emissions, organic compounds (VOCs), combustion emissions, and gasoline and diesel emissions. Also included are natural gas and other direct sources as well as indirect sources such as electricity. This data is verified internally and externally. PSMC's various departments have also drafted relevant greenhouse gas reduction measures and reduction plans and are continuing reduction according to schedule.
